17 April 1975. Across Aberlady sands, from a position bearing 60 degrees 925 metres approximately from Aberlady church, is line of concrete anti-tank blocks running northwards.
Report by HMS EGERIA, 1958.
15 July 1993. The site is shown as a causeway running north/south on Aberlady Bay LNR and SSSI 1993 coastal map [OS 1:7500].

Site recorded during a rapid coastal survey undertaken by GUARD of the S shore of the Firth of Forth from Dunbar to Stirling and along the N shore of the Forth to the Fife border. A gazetteer of all sites including listed buildings, designed landscapes, scheduled and unscheduled monuments was produced. Full details of the survey can be consulted in the report held by the NMRS.

A linear feature runs across the river estuary west of the present bridge. It is composed of rough stones forming a very low bank, approximately 2m wide and 250m long. There are three upright posts or stones marking its route near the southern shore. This feature is the remains of a WW2 row of anti-tank blocks observed on 1946 aerial photographs.
