Canal House, designed as two dwellings for lock keepers like those at Banavie, with elegant three-windowed central bow and prominent battery of chimney flues.

This two-storey house on the E side of the canal has a first floor room which has been named after Telford, as he frequently stayed here. The bow front of the house would have afforded him good views of the canal.
