(Name cited as Murrayfield and location as HU 468 241 [N59 59.97 W1 9.5]). The remains of this wreck survive at depths down to 30m. [It is not stated whether the the remains are coherent or dispersed, but it is described as a 'good wreck dive'].

The MURRAYFIELD sank in deep water, after it ran aground on the Perie Bard of Mousa in dense fog, whilst en-route from Lerwick to Methil.

28 August 1981. The Shetland sub-aqua club report that ammunition is scattered around the wreck of the MURRAYFIELD [MORAYFIELD?], which sank in 1942 at 59 59 58N, 001 09 30W approximately. The general depth varies from 4-23 metres. The Royal Navy's mine disposal team from Inverkeithing have been informed.
