This site was drawn in 2013 by RCAHMS as part of its survey of the Milton Tam O' Shanter hone works (NS42SW 79.0) with which it was associated in the 20th century. These single-storey cottages were created by altering an existing masonry-built, two-compartment building (probably agricultural and linked to the grain mill as the masonry north elevation is 'blind' - it has no fenstration) to five, brick-fronted, two-roomed cottages around 1902. Two of the cottages still contain their two box bed recesses and one has its 'range' intact.
