This kiln barn stands among a number of blackhouses within the SW part of the township of Bailenacille. Rectangular on plan, it measures 13m from NE to SW by 7m transversely over walls 1.7m in thickness and up to 0.5m in height. The kiln occupies the SW end of the building and there are opposed doorways in the SE and NW walls of the barn at the NE end.
