NJ02NW 25 0499 2523 to 0329 2999. MR 9 (formerly Lin 511).

The military road links with the A95 just S of the former railway line outside Grantown-on-Spey. Having crossed this railway line, it then traverses the River Spey on an old military bridge (NJ02NW 20) at NJ 039 263 and then rejoins the modern road at NJ 034 269. To the N of Grantown the military route is probably on the line of the A939 to Dava.

W Taylor 1976.

The assessment of the military road terminated at Grantown-on-Spey, but it appears that the military line is mainly overlaid by the A939. At NJ 0472 2564 a military-type single span stone bridge (NJ02NW 26) carries the road over the Allt Choire Odhar Burn and at NJ 039 263 the Old Spey Bridge (NJ02NW 20), a military triple-arch stone construction of 1754, takes the route over the River Spey just S of Grantown. To the N of Grantown the military road is overlaid by the A939.
