NX15NE 78.00 1999 5757 to 1500 5761. MR 23 (formerly Lin 518).

NX15NE 78.01 1549 5739 Bridge.

Heading W from Glenluce the A75 is apparently on the same line as the military road.

W Taylor 1976.

The military road heads W from Glenluce, bending S to cross the River Luce (now known as the Water of Luce), and passing to the S of Park. It continues W, passing to the S of Dunragget (the modern Dunragit).

G Taylor and A Skinner 1776.

Bridge of Park (NX15NE 17) at NX 1914 5734 is of two phases, the E portion being about 16th century, while the W half is modern. Ballochjargon Bridge (NX15NE 78.01) at NX 1549 5739 has had culverts added to each side so that the original structure is obscured.

Visited by OS (EGC) 9 April 1968.

NX 1999 5757 to NX 1637 5705 modern road.

NX 1637 5705 to NX 1621 5711 no trace.

NX 1621 5711 to NX 1500 5761 modern road.

Visited by OS March 1968.
