To the N and W of Strageath Cottage Roman temporary camp (NN81NE 16), there is a scatter of cropmarks, recorded on aerial photographs (RCAHMS and CUCAP) against a background of heavy geological markings. The crescentic cropmark of what may be a souterrain (EARNAP 79, NN 8876 1817) lies to the W of the camp. Immediately outside the NW angle of the camp a faint cropmark may indicate the location of a square barrow (EARNAP 80, NN 8886 1821), while further to the NW an arc of ditch running round the S of a pit may mark the location of a round barrow; the latter measures about 10m in diameter overall (EARNAP 81, NN 8881 1826). Three pits (EARNAP 82, NN 8885 1831; though only two have been transcribed) lie along the edge of a slight ridge to the N of the camp and WSW of a palisaded settlement (NN81NE 22).
