NN52NW 9 centred 5234 2844.

Centered NN 523 284 - Braval - a farmstead, finally depopulated in the 19th century, consisting of at least seven buildings, a corn-drying kiln and several associated enclosures. The buildings vary in size from

22.0m x 4.0m to 6.0m x 2.8m and are defined by stone walls from 0.3m to 1.8m in height.

Visited by OS 5 December 1968.

A township, comprising one roofed, one partially roofed building, three unroofed buildings, one unroofed structure and four enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet lxxix). Eight unroofed buildings and three enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1977).
