NN52NW 9 centred 5234 2844.
Centered NN 523 284 - Braval - a farmstead, finally depopulated in the 19th century, consisting of at least seven buildings, a corn-drying kiln and several associated enclosures. The buildings vary in size from
22.0m x 4.0m to 6.0m x 2.8m and are defined by stone walls from 0.3m to 1.8m in height.
Visited by OS 5 December 1968.
A township, comprising one roofed, one partially roofed building, three unroofed buildings, one unroofed structure and four enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet lxxix). Eight unroofed buildings and three enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1977).

Field Walking (4 October 2011)
NN 53391 27564 – NN 52525 28850 A walkover survey was conducted on 4 October 2011 along the route of a proposed hydro-electric scheme in Gleann Dubh, which runs into the E end of Glen Dochart. The route passes close to the W side of a pre-improvement settlement (presumably NN52NW 9), which consists of the remains of three long-houses, a corn-drying kiln and an enclosure.
