This heather-covered, C-shaped burnt mound, which is situated on the E bank of an unnamed tributary of the Grumby Burn, measures 9.3m in diameter and 1.2m in height. Within the mound there is a well-defined hollow, measuring 3m from N to S by 2.7m transversely and opening out on the W, the sides of which have been revetted with boulders. In addition, two upright boulders, resembling door checks, have been set within the gap at the inner end of the revetment. On the W, and outside the mound, there is a setting of three earthfast, upright boulders, placed on roughly the same axis as the boulders lining the gap in the hollow.
