Name Book 1867.

This 12-bedroomed house was built about 1860 as one of the highest (430m OD) shooting lodges in Scotland and falls on the Balmoral estate. It is structurally unsound and beyond repair, but the exterior remains complete and demolition was averted in 1987 (for which, see Press and Journal for 28 March 1987).
