NS 0695 5902 Site 47 Greenwood Smithy

Immediately south of the junction of the Ambrisbeg cottage track with the main road, is the site of a house known as Greenwood, demolished c1950, which replaced an older smithy on the site, sometimes known as Ambrisbeg smithy. A painting of the smithy hangs in the Bute museum.

NS 0695 5902 Site of building: Located on W side of main road, on S corner of junction with Ambrisbeg farm track. These are the foundations of a house, which replaced older smithy on this site. It was demolished c.1960.
