NM74NE 2 centred 765 478

Copper was mined and smelted in the 18th century at NM 765 478 where spoil heaps and a water-filled shaft are visible and slag is found. The mine appears to have been in use at the time of Roy's survey (1747-55) but abandoned by 1794.
