This fermtoun is situated adjacent to the track to the N of Easter Stanhope. It comprises at least six buildings and three enclosures in a cluster to the E of the track, with two outlying buildings to the W. Their walls have been reduced to low grass-grown banks about 1m in thickness and from 0.2m to 0.3m in height and the interiors of at least three have been dug end-on into the slope to a depth of 0.5m. One of the buildings has traces of a drainage gully around its SE angle. A small rectangular foundation is set at the foot of the screes immediately S of the main cluster of buildings.

Visited by RCAHMS (SPH), 16 August 1989.
