(NY 1620 7287) Hallguards (on site of) Hoddom Castle (NR)

The first castle at Hoddom, see also NY17SE 1, is said to have stood at Hallguards till demolished under the terms of a Border Treaty. Hoddom is first mentioned in the 12th.C, and the castle is said to have been built by one of the Bruces about the beginning of the 14th C.
