NX 621 868. A round cairn ('A') 45 ft in diameter and 2 ft high, stands on a false skyline at 625 ft OD when viewed from the ruins steading of Cleughead. A second round cairn ('B'), 36 ft in diameter, is 35 yds N of 'A'.

M Ansell 1971

Two turf-covered round cairns occupy the false crest of a gently SE-facing slope under rough pasture.

'A' - NX 6196 8678, measures 12.0m in overall diameter with a maximum height of 1.1m. The centre is partially disturbed but it is otherwise well preserved.

'B' - NX 6196 8682. This cairn is heavily disturbed and measures 11.0m in overall diameter. It is now overlain and truncated on the NW side by a modern bank, and survives to a maximum height of 0.4 metres. Neither cairn has any significant features.

Surveyed at 1:10 000.
