A greenstone axe, measuring 9" by 3 1/2", from N Milton (NX 708 477) is in Kirkcudbright Museum.

An axe-hammer from N Milton is in Kirkcudbright Museum (Acc. No. 2683).

From the dimensions of Acc. No 2683 it would appear that both authorities are referring to the same implement. No further information.

This Class I axe-hammer has been petrologically described as 'near' to group XXVII (greywacke from the Southern uplands of Scotland).
