(NX 7019 7443) Cairn (NR)

OS 6" map (1957)

This large circular cairn, situated on a slight eminence, is much dilapidated and has probably been excavated. It has measured some 53' in diameter and appears to have rested on a base extending all round from 6' to 12' beyond it.

RCAHMS 1914, visited 1911

A cairn which is 25.0m in diameter and up to 2.0m high has been much robbed on its west side. The "base" is only evident on the west side and appears to be the result of robbing rather than an original feature of the cairn.

Surveyed at 1:10 000.

Visited by OS (TRG) 21 June 1977
