NX97NW 21 9211 7997.

The dovecot at Gribton House is in a rectangular tower above the pend which leads into the farm-court. The cote is in the top storey, and is about 24 feet by 12 feet. The date 1810 is over the pend (Mr Robertson describes this as one of the 'singularly few old dovecotes' in Dumfries-shire.)

A N Robertson 1957

NX 9211 7997. This dovecot is as described above. It was not possible to view the inside of it. The west end of the pend is now blocked up and a narrow door inserted. Above the door is an armorial panel bearing the date 1725.
