(NX 42726537) Standing Stone of Kirroughtree (NR)

Before being broken and removed in 1835, a large standing stone of granite stood here. It was about 7ft high and 10 1/2ft in circumference. A hollow still remains where it stood.

Name Book 1849

No further information could be found regarding the stone, the name of which is not known locally. The hollow at the site is almost certainly an old quarry.
