There is a small 18th century lean-to dovecot at The Lodge. It is rubble-walled and slate roofed.

This dovecot is built into the angle of the garden wall and has been harled on three sides.

Visited by OS (SFS) 7 July 1975

This dovecot is 9 1/2 ft square; the back wall is 26ft high and slopes 4ft towards the front. It has two deep crow-stepped gables. The lower portion of the interior is a storehouse and the entrance to the dovecot is high in the E wall. There is only one entrance hole, 2ft 1 in by 2ft 11 ins. In the interior are 134 nesting places.
