NT 544 831. Air photographs (541/A/570: 3044-5) reveal a single-ditched, trapezoidal enclosure on Highfield farm, at a height of about 210ft OD. It measures 225ft by 270ft. This is one of at least twenty rectilinear ditched enclosures in Mid- and East Lothian which are superficially comparable with the Iron Age timber-house sites of the Northumberland coastal plain.
