NT 5033 1461. A bronze ring-brooch of the late 14thc - early 15thc was found during building work behind 48 High Street in 1956. It was identified by the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) as a bronze talismanic ring-brooch bearing a religious inscription. (R E Scott, Hawick Museum)
