NT45SE 7 471 540.

South of the fort described on NT45SE 3, there is a smaller hill of similar shape. Some years ago it is reported that on digging near it, a grave, or graves were found, and these were supposed to have been Early Christian.

The most prominent knoll S of Kirktonhill fort is centred on NT 4717 5408. No further information was obtained from local enquiries.
