NT30NW 2 3139 0834.

A standing stone near Wolfcleuchead had been brought to the notice of the Secretary, R E Scott, by an unnamed member of the Society. The stone, bearing two carved heads, has been photographed and a copy sent to the CBA Scottish Regional Group whose representatives visited the stone - pre January 15th 1952 - their findings are awaited.

This stone is at NT 3139 0834 and is known locally as the 'Loupin' Stone'. It is 0.8m long by 0.35m wide at top, narrowing to a point at bottom, and is only 0.05m thick. On one side two heads and lettering are inscribed; on the other the name 'Wolfcleuchead'.
