(NT 2728 6840) St Katherine's Children's Home (NAT)

on site of St Catherine's Chapel (NR)

OS 25" map (1967)

A chapel, known as St Catherine's of the Kaims, stood close to St Catherine's Well (NT26NE 12). Its foundation was accredited by Boece to Queen Margaret. Remains of the structure were still to be seen at the end of the 18th c, but no trace now remains, the site now being occupied by St Katherine's (Name Book 1852).
