NT 266257 Old Cottages, Dryhope Burn. The foundations of two old cottages, measuring 30ft. by 12ft. internally, and of several outbuildings and enclosures can be seen on the right bank of the Dryhope Burn 1000 yds. N. of Dryhope Tower (RCAHMS 1957, No. 40, NT22NE 4).

On the NE (right) bank of the Dryhope Burn are the remains of seven rectangular buildings varying in size from c. 17.0m. x 4.0m. to c. 8.0m. x 4.0m., the walls of stone and averaging c. 0.3m. high. Four of the buildings had associated enclosures or annexes.
