NT25NW 11 23 59.

An example of a type of dwelling intermediate betweet the "Pict's House" and "Weem" (souterrain) has been discovered at Penicuik (NT 23 59). In this type the walls were generally built of smaller stones, oaken rafters replaced the "cylopean arch", and the excavation being for the most part in the side of a hill, the entrance was level with the ground. These structures may be regarded as of later later date than the "Pict's Houses" and proper souterrains.

D Wilson 1863

No information was encountered during field investigation.
