Friars' Well: A well on Friars' Brae where the inhabitants of the friary (NT07NW 7) used to get water. It is now covered over with flagstones and its water piped to the Cross Well (NT07NW 11), from which circumstance it has the alternative name of Fountain Head of Cross Well. Name Book 1856

The well is situated in a public park and has been covered with a stone arch. Its water is no longer piped to the Cross Well.
