The fortalice of Coaltown, of which no trace existed in 1915, stood in a field called Coaltown Park, between Cumberland Parks and Monk's Burn.

Name Book 1852; RCAHMS 1929, visited 1915.

No trace remains; site lies in an undulating arable field above the west side of a ravine.
