NS92SW 32 9482 2126.

NS 948 212. The remains of what has probably been a prehistoric burial cairn lie 700m WSW of Castle Crawford farmhouse immediately N of the minor public road from Crawford to Abington Station. About one third has been removed by the construction of the road, and what survives now appears as a grass-grown stony mound measuring about 11m across and up to 1.1m in height.

RCAHMS 1978, visited 1969

NS 9482 2126 Though partially destroyed and also robbed, there is little doubt that this is a cairn as evidenced by the perfect curvature at the base, and the position on a crest overlooking the flood plain of the Clyde.

Surveyed at 1:10 000.

Visited by OS (NKB) 26 March 1978

Name published but no detail shown on OS 1:10000 map (1982).
