NT00SE 42 0810 0338.

NT 081 033. An earthwork of moated manor type lies between Lochhouse Tower (NT00SE 18) and the road.

A E Truckell 1973

NT 0810 0338. This earthwork comprises a large sub-square platform similar to that on which Lochhouse Tower (NT00SE 18) stands. It is 29.0m by 26.0m and up to 2.0m high. The level, featureless top has no trace of stonework. It is bounded by a stone dyke, a metalled track, a modern drainage channel and by low-lying fields. This may be the site of a building but there is no evidence to suggest that it was moated.

Visited by OS (M J F) 11 September 1978.
