NS93SW 15 9047 3147.

NS 9047 3147. A large, low cairn situated on the level summit of Ewe Hill at 378m OD was found during field investigation.

It is 24.5m in diameter, up to 0.7m in height and is apparently constructed of compacted stone; its flat top has been disturbed. Two earthfast boulders on the N side may be part of a kerb. The largest of these boulders bears three concentric marks of unknown origin.

Surveyed at 1:10,000.

Visited by OS(MJF) 12 February 1979.
