(NS 668 944) The old mansionhouse of Glentirran stood about 200 yds SW from the old bridge of Boquhan.

Sir Alexander Livingston of Glentirran was created a baronet of Nova Scotia 20 July 1685. Sir James Livingston who died about 1503, had a son, the founder of the family of Livingston of Terrinterran (?Glentirran).

Numerous local enquiries and perambulation of the area around the old bridge of Boquhan failed to locate this site.
