There is a ferry-boat on the Forth, called the 'ferry of Drip', at the east end of the parish, about a mile from Stirling (Angus Graham, 1724).

This ferry crossed the River Forth, which here forms the boundary between the parishes of Kincardine (Stirling) to the W and St Ninians (to the E).
