(NS 589 649) The area now occupied by St Enoch Square was once a church-yard, within which stood a chapel dedicated to St Thenaw. It is not known when the chapel was erected, but it is mentioned in a grant of James III of 1426 (sic - James III reigned 1460-88, possibly James I 1406-37 is intended), and it was destroyed at the Reformation. Traces of its foundations, however, were found when St Enoch Square was being built.

Field investigation produced no further information.
