A number of urns were found in this small mound a few years before 1875 (Ordnance Survey Name Book [ONB] 1875). It is very heavily overgrown with shrubs, but appears natural (RCAHMS 1971).
A mutilated disc-headed cross stands on the summit of the mound. The only visible decoration on the opposite side of the stone is an incised line which may have formed part of a circle. (See also NR75NE 9)
