NR78NE 4 763 880.

(NR 763 880) (Campbell and Sandeman 1925). A granite boulder 7' x 4' x 4', situated c. 200yds E of Ach-na-Cille (NR78NE 1), on the shore of Loch Sween, almost submerged at high tide, below the vertical cliff, is said to be carved with ovals as illustrated (Lacaille 1925). It was not found by Campbell (1964), who adds that some boulders on the tide-mark have natural 'blisters'.

A D Lacaille 1925; M Campbell and M Sandeman 1964.

This boulder could not be located although there are natural marks similar to those illustrated on several boulders in this area.

Visited by OS (IA) 31 May 1973.
