NO87NW 3 819 762.

There are three turf-covered cairns and the possible remains of a fourth on a prominent shoulder on the W side of Water Hill, at approximately 110m OD.

'A', at NO 8200 7628, is a fine example 13.0m in diameter and 1.0m high, with a slightly hollowed centre.

'B', at NO 8189 7628, is greatly reduced and in not such a prominent position further down the slope. It is 14.0m in diameter and 0.6m

high. An upright stone, oriented E-W, 0.6m long and protruding 0.2m through the turf exactly in the centre of the cairn, may be a cist stone.

'C', at NO 8202 7626, 15.0m in diameter, is so heavily robbed that all that remains is the perimeter, visible as a low, circular bank 0.3m high.

'D', at NO 8198 7629, is a small, turf-covered mound, 6.0m in diameter, with its centre hollowed. It is possibly a cairn, despite being so much smaller than the others.

Surveyed at 1:2500.
