There is a cairn on the summit of the Hill of Garvock, a mile from Tower of Johnston (at NO 726 691).

New Statistical Account (NSA) 1845.

At NO 7334 6984, 950m NE of Tower of Johnston, there is a turf-covered cairn, measuring about 9.0 by 7.0m and 0.5m high, probably that referred to in the NSA.
