There is a circular fort on the Hill of Dunoon, a short distance E of Kinpurnie Hill. (A J Warden 1880). This could refer to the fort on Denoon Law (NO34SE 1), but Stirton, after describing Denoon Law fort, states there is a circular fort on another hill on the S of the glen.

This fort was not located during field investigation, and air photographs failed to reveal the site.
