OS 6" map (1947)

The church, rebuilt on the present site in 1820 (see NO20SE 54), is called Christ's Kirk-on-the-Green and was mentioned in charters in 1239 and 1263. No vestige of the original structure, which is supposed to have been in use down to 1800, remains, but the site is well known to the inhabitants of the town.
