NO 176 039: The ditch of an oval enclosure, measuring c.90' x 70', is revealed as a crop mark on APs (CPE/Scot/UK 290: 5186-7) in a cultivated field on Balnethill farm, 600 yds ENE of Balgedie House.

There is no trace of this enclosure. No further information.

Aerial reconnaissance (by RCAHMS in 1990 and 1992) has confirmed this oval enclosure, measuring at least 25m NNW-SSE by about 20m transversely. It sits on a ridge to the ENE of Balnethill farm. At least three pits are visible in the interior.
