A monolith, 8ft 2ins high with a sundial on its summit, stands SSW of (Over) Benchil Farm, a mile north of Strathord railway station, at c.200 ft OD.

NO 0951 3224. This stone is 1.6m high and 0.9m thick and is aligned approximately E to W. The large red sandstone sundial on the top is relatively modern.
Surveyed at 1/2500.
