A stone coffin containing a skeleton 'in a reclining posture' was found at a depth of 5ft in July, 1902 in preparing for the erection of a flagstaff near Glenalmond House [NN 9317 2893]. The top stone was replaced and the coffin left in situ.

No further information could be obtained by local enquiries. There is no knowledge of a flagstaff at or near Glenalmond House.
