NN86NE 15 centred on 8870 6885

NN 8870 6885. Ardcampsie, depopulated c.1850, was an old farmstead comprising ten buildings and several small enclosures. The remains are visible as partially turf-covered footings c.0.5m high and the buildings vary from c.13m x 4m to 7m x 3m. Name confirmed by local enquiry.

Twelve unroofed buildings, several of which are annotated as Ruins, and a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet xxi). Part of the head-dyke is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1989).
