NN81SW 5 8206 1266.

(Name: NN 8205 1266) Cairn Lee (NR) (Site of).

OS 6" map (1959)

A "great heap of stones" in 1726 but "not near so considerable" as Cairn Wochel (NN81SW 4). The whole cairn had been removed for wall-building by 1863. Nothing remained in 1936 (OS 6" map annotated by O G S Crawford, 12 June 1936) and Crawford considered that it must be wrongly located.

A Gordon 1726; Name Book 1863

Although no definited trace of the cairn could be found the likely site is at NN 8213 1272, where an almost circular area skirted by a track, has been cleared, leaving a slight platform and a scatter of stones. The name is not known locally and no further information could be found.
