NN85SE 29 8866 5320.

(NN 8866 5320) A cup marked stone with 19 cups was found forming the doorstep of an old stable at Easter Tobairandonaich. The stone is oval with diameter varying from 2'8" to 3'2".

Tobairandonaich is a deserted hamlet and completely ruined. It owes its name to a holy well situated 30 yds to the S.

J H Dixon 1922

No trace of this stone was found after a thorough search of the ruined hamlet.

Visited by OS (BS) 18 February 1975

The well, now partly silted up and dry, is at NN 8866 5319. It is dry-stone lined and circular, 1.0m in diameter and still 1.0m deep. The name is not known locally, but more elderly locals still know it as a holy well.

Surveyed at 1:10,000.
