NN72NE 2 7766 2524.

Three turf-covered cairns on the hill grazing of Balmuick are situated about 900ft above sea-level, about half a mile from and within sight of the stone circle (NN72NE 1). They lie in a line 80 yds long on the crest of a low ridge running NW to SE. The south mound is about 36ft in diameter and the other two each about 22ft. They are from 3 to 4ft high. Excavations by Boston, about 1880, exposed in each mound a short cist and fragments of urn one of which was ornamented with twisted cord decoration. In the cist of the southern mound was a handled beaker.

T Boston 1884

These cairns, centred on NN 7766 2524, and commencing with the north one, measure 11.5m, 10.0m and 12.5m in diameter respectively.
